Think of your trial as your dress rehearsal! A trial is an essential part of your wedding preparation and would ideally take place at least 12 weeks before your Wedding Day. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and to try out all the hair and make-up ideas that you have.
In order to really capture your ideas and to create the hair and make-up perfect to your own individual wedding, I encourage every one of my wonderful brides to gather all of the pictures that they have together and have them with them on the trial. It helps to have the little details such as a photo of your dress and any hair accessories or veils with you so that we can try them on your chosen style to make sure they look just right.
We will then go on to discuss your everyday make-up routine if you have one and what you feel comfortable with, this is vital as it is a great idea to stick with what your familiar with. The wedding day is not the day to try something new!
We will then apply the make-up step by step and slowly build up to your desired look. The most important thing for me is that you feel relaxed and in control as this then takes any worries about the make-up away. Once you are happy with everything we will then move on to talking about hair.
We will try up to 4 different styles depending on the complexity of the design. Throughout your trial I will take photos and I will then send them to you after your trial via email so that you are able to make your final decision for the big day.
As you will discover when we meet, I am a perfectionist so please allow approximately 3 hours for your bridal hair and make-up trial. After your hair and make-up is complete I like to then go through a time sheet with you in order for us to work out the ideal start time for your morning. I do believe that a scheduled wedding morning is a relaxed wedding morning and I will be there to make sure everything is as it should be.
