Hair extensions are an absolute must for Brides who dream of having that one hairstyle they just can’t achieve with their natural hair. Whether it is a full updo, long boho waves or bouncy curls, extensions are a great way to fulfil those hair dreams for your wedding and and honeymoon.

Extensions can be quite a scary world to navigate which is why I am here to make it easy for you to decide which system of extensions are best for you, your wedding and your lifestyle, after all extensions are an investment.

Their are 5 different systems that I offer for my wonderful clients. These are Clip-ins, Micro Rings, Tapes, Micro Weft and Keratin Bonds. Don’t panic, below I have broken down each type of extension into detail so that you can see exactly what they involve, how long they last and what they are best for. Extensions can be worn for a minimum of 3-4 weeks up to 3 months depending on which system is right for you.

All of the Hair is 100% Russian Remy Hair, this is the best quality hair on the market and can last you a year’s wear when maintained properly.

Clip in extensions are quite possibly the least time consuming and the quickest solution for clients looking to thicken up an updo or have long hair for the day. These are take around 10 minutes to colour match to your hair at your consultation and require little to no preparation before being clipped in on your Wedding morning before your hair is styled. These are amazing if you are looking for a quick option just for one day.

The downsides to clip ins are that they are temporary so will have to be taken out the night of your wedding as they are super uncomfortable to sleep in. They can be heavy on your hair if you choose to wear them all to achieve that full look and if you would like to re-create your hair for your honeymoon it does take some practice to get them looking good!

Micro Rings are by far the most popular type of extension on the market. These bonded extensions are attached to small sections of your hair, in rows, by little metal beads which are clamped to the root of your hair. These extensions are worn in 3 month cycles, they are installed, then 6 weeks later you have a maintenance and 6 weeks after that they are taken out for your hair to have a rest. The rest period is a minimum of 3 days (I recommend a week) and then they are ready to be installed again and for your 3 months to start again. You can get 4 wears out of one set which is a years worth of hair extensions.

Micro rings are the most long-wearing extension so are perfect for those who are looking to have beautiful hair right through to their honeymoon and beyond. You will be advised on the aftercare of your extensions to make sure they are looked after to ensure you get the most wear out of them.

These extensions are perfect for low hair ups, half up half down and down styles. If you wish to wear your hair on top of your head on your wedding or in general, these are not the happiest when they are pulled tight so low loose styles are best.

A consultation is needed to make sure your hair is suitable for micro rings and to colour match for your extensions, we will also check the elasticity of your hair as we want to keep your hair in the best condition possible. We will also discuss your lifestyle and maintenance to make sure they are the right extensions for you.

Tape extensions are an extremely popular option for Brides due to their 3-4 week lifespan. These tape in extensions are the quickest, longer wearing extension to apply. The hair comes attached to tapes which are applied to the hair in rows. The extensions last up to 3-4 weeks and will then need maintenance. This is the perfect time-frame for a Wedding and then a honeymoon and then when my client gets back the extensions are taken out and put back in after a minimum of 3 days ( I recommend a weeks rest) or taken out and kept until the client wants them put in again. These are perfect for Brides or clients who do not want commit to micro rings.

These can we worn for a year in 4, 3 month cycles. Maintenance is more regular with tapes, every 3-4 weeks. These extensions are perfect for low updos, half up half down and down styles.

Micro Wefts are an alternative hair extension for tapes if you hair is super oily and not suitable for tape in extensions. Micro Weft is an long piece of hair (much like the clip ins) which is attached to your hair in strips using micro rings. This is a fantastic option for Brides, parties or proms as they are very quick to apply and are much less expensive than others. The extensions need maintenance every 3-4 weeks and last for 3 months and then need to be taken out and for the hair to have a break for a minimum of 3 days (I recommend a weeks rest) and then they can be reapplied. This hair will last you up to 4 cycles up to a years wear if maintained properly.
